Description
From the first time I was introduced to shape-note hymn-tunes, I fell in love with them. This tune is called “Prospect” and was published in Walker’s Southern Harmony in 1835. Several texts are used with this tune including “The Lone, Wild Bird,” “Why should we Start and Fear to Die?” and “O Love, how Broad, how Deep, how High.”
